Trash to Treasure

   My mom called me up,last week,to tell me that we were going to have a day to go do something fun. So impatiently i awaited this unknown,but exciting event and was very happy to find that we were going antiquing! We had a delicious lunch of sandwiches and zucchini pancakes(which were out of this world) and once our shopping souls were fueled,we began our task of finding other people's trash and turning it into our treasure. I fluttered from one booth to another,loving everything in sight,and dreaming how much better this would be if i was filthy rich! The place was huge(which didn't help me one bit in trying to narrow the choices down) and with every step,ideas for my own crafts and projects came to mind.

  After a few hours,we made final selections and unwillingly left.(They were actually closing behind us so we were left with no choice) It was a very wonderful experience and i had a blast! Thanks mom!

And now i'm home enjoying all my wonderful goodies!

(I had plans,of course,to post all the pics of the day,but right now Typepad and my IPhone are not getting along. So i promise that as soon as i figure out what is wrong,i will post them to this blog)

Spring Inspired

 

  I just love springtime and everything that it brings. I love that it inspires people to want to live green. I was sad that i didn't get to do anything for Earth Day because of a full schedule but Logan and i went to  Barnes & Noble and bought a box kit of three different kinds of plants and i can't wait to plant them. Being able to watch them sprout and grow into beautiful plants is so much fun. It's just hard to be patient! :) Well,i'm off to work til midnight tonight but i will soon take the time i need to really blog. Until then,get outside and feel the sunshine and the breeze on your face. Run around barefoot. Take the time to smell a flower and listen to some birds chirp. Slow down and enjoy this beautiful earth that God gave us! 

 

Me Time

  

  Well, i had a pretty great day yesterday. I took some very much needed me-time. A great destresser. I watched a movie,had lunch with an aquaintance,and for the best part of the day,chilled out @Barnes&Noble . My absolute favorite place to be. I love going with Logan,because he too,enjoys it so much,but i must admit that it was pretty nice to go alone. I sipped on my Starbucks cup of goodness(of course!) and curled up to some great reading. I even ran into an old French teacher from high school. The only bad part of the day?....having to leave. LOL Geez, I am such a bookworm! Ah,but there's just so much to learn and so little time to do it in.                                                                       I have been working on alot of crafts lately(i'll make another post soon with some pics of them). And i still have got a few to finish(along with the dreaded housework) so I'm going to go tackle that to-do-list right now.  But i'll be back blogging soon. Ciao!

A Crafty State of Mind

  So,i've been really trying to get a lot of crafts done lately. I've been finding some really great deals on my scrapbooking stuff(which i just love doing,bout as much as i love coffee!LOL) Once i start,my creative juices start flowing,and the only problem i'm left with is trying to find time to finish all my ideas!

I've also been wanting to work on some ideas for my Etsy shop before the holidays arrive. I've got so many ideas like holiday wreaths,topiaries, homemade ornaments,and other seasonal crafts. Hopefully i can get it up and running soon.

On another note,i'm about to put my wedding dress on sell on ebay or in my Etsy shop but before i do,if anyone is interested,please let me know. Or you might know someone who is about to tie the knot and is looking for a deal on a dress. I will post pictures of it real soon.

My Little Chef

   The other night,Logan and I got into the kitchen and made Halloween sugar cookies.He had so much fun that he wanted to find something else to "cook" So short of cooking all the food in my pantry,i finally came up with some simple and fun things we could do. We made strawberry juice(kool-aid),pineapple jello,and cheesecake pudding. He was having a blast. Of course,it also called for acting silly!

School Blues

I'm so excited,but at the same time,scared as well.Tomorrow my little one starts his first day in kindergarden. I'm hoping that he will not take long to adjust. My sweet baby has come such a long way and i'm so very proud of him. He has learned alot and has also taught alot along the way.He is so smart and it has been bottled inside for so long but everyday that he improves,he shows us just how smart he really is.I will keep my blog updated on how he does.
